Nordens Shield Pendant

With its asymmetric shape, this Nordens pendant constitutes a different kind of jewellery. The shining and austere lower part appears as a compelling contrast to the ornate upper loop richly decorated with gold and gemstones. When looked at closely, diamonds and sapphires of different colours become apparent.

Inspired by large shield shaped rings with an oval centre gemstone, our collection reflects the awe and admiration early Nordic goldsmiths felt thousands of years ago when contemplating these magnificent adornments for the first time. It led to adaptation and invention of new techniques, that were later refined over the centuries, giving birth to the region's own distinct jewellery techniques.
