Agadez Small Silver Pendant

Avoid of granulation and superfluous adornments, this small pendant has a clear, symmetric, and mostly linear design, echoing the fabulous Agadez pendants from the Azawagh region.

Silver, the pure metal, is believed to have magical protective powers, and is worn in different interpretations, sizes, volumes, and numbers of adornments. Evil djinns, curses, or jealousy will be averted from the wearer, and good fortune drawn to him instead. Contrary to what we might believe, in former times this type of pendant was also placed on boys for their protection. 

Both pendants are approximately 5 centimetres long, one has a more elongated shape, the other is rather square.
