Tuareg Nigeria Bold Ring

Engraved inside and outside with traditional motifs, this bold statement ring is a true eye catcher thanks to its meandering shape, large dimensions, and weight. It is approximately 15 millimeters wide at the top, and 6-7 millimeters at the bottom. Its magnitude is omnipresent; a thickness of 4-5 millimetres continues around the entire piece.

The symbology found throughout the piece goes back to times remote. Some was well-known by all silversmiths, some was invented by one, and later repeated by others: Eye of the hyena, trace of the jackal or the fawn were names given to certain figures. Sometimes you cannot tell whether the symbol came first, or its meaning. United, they would tell a story often evident only to smith and wearer of the jewellery.
